The Friday, February 28 Gala hosted by television journalist Belva Davis at the Merced Multicultural Center is free to the public and begins at 6 pm. The curator for the Black Arts Movement exhibit is Greg Morozumi.
From ancient Kemet Hotep has returned to spread peace by empowering the voice of the youth to inherit the earth. In search of Maat (representing truth, righteousness and justice) Hotep has discovered Familyhood, a vision that defines schools as the center of the communities development. He wrote the book, The Familyhood Handbook, to illustrate this vision and 1st Saturdays ( the "do now" strategy.
