“The more alumni a community produces, the more developed the community will become.” This statement is known as the philosophy of Familyhood. From this statement, therefore, a natural vision of The Familyhood Connection is to produce alumni to improve…develop communities. Before I delve deeper into “the production of alumni”, let me give you the definition of what an alumni is…according to Familyhood.
An alumni is a student who graduates from a school-level, i.e. middle school, high school and joins the school’s Alumni association. Familyhood adds one more role to the Alumni Association (mentioned above) – to volunteer with the Student Government Association. A  strong pipeline between Alumni-Associations and Student Government is our vision or strategy to produce Alumni who are wiling to volunteer in our schools. The students they mentor will see themselves as future Alumni and one -day volunteering with future Student government lleaders.
